An "All Stacked Up" Finish and a Stash Report from Sew........This Is My Blog

In September when I first shared about the "All Stacked Up" quilt I was working on for my niece (you can read about it here) I really hoped I'd finish it and gift it before the end of the year.  And I have!

Shirley Jackson, once again, did a beautiful job quilting it for me.   She used the Juliette panto from One Song Needle Arts.

So another loved niece .....

..... has her quilt from Aunt Sandy.  Doesn't it look perfect on her new green sofa?

And now every single niece and nephew has received a new quilt at some ...

Mar/Apr Goals Finally Met! from Sew........This Is My Blog

I am happy to announce (happier than you know!) that my March goal (which became my April goal) is finally done!  I knew I was right to not give up on it.  I put the binding and label on Natalie's quilt this week and it's ready to gift.

I was finally able to get some photos that show the true colors.  It's amazing what a little natural light will do.

I'm excited to be able to gift this one in person next weekend.  I've had to mail an awful lot of niece and nephew quilts ...

A Finish, Some Donation Projects, and a Stash Report from Sew........This Is My Blog

A lot has been going on lately in this sewing room of mine.  After spending two solid days of spring cleaning I spent some quality time in there last week.

First, my "Lazy Eyes" quilt came back from my quilter (the fabulous Shirley Jackson), and I got the binding on it.  It was nice to finally check off something from my UFO list.  I love how it turned out, but I need to rename it.  I'm still thinking about that.   It might be inspired by the Post-It Note look!

I didn't realize how grainy the photos are until ...

Kacie's Quilt from Sew........This Is My Blog

Every girl needs a new quilt when she leaves home to go off to college.  Especially when her Aunt Sandy thinks she does! And even more so when her sisters have recently received new quilts.  (You can read about Karlie's here and Kourtnie's here.)  It was Kacie's turn.

Jennie Doan's "Summer Camp" pattern looked like fun, and I was in the mood to work with teals and grays.  I dug into my stash and found something to work with, but I ended up adding a few fat-quarters to round out the mix.  We have to do ...

Antelope Canyon from Sew........This Is My Blog

No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth.  It's just been a very strange year.  I have done a few quilty things, but I haven't actually blogged about much of it.  In the next few weeks I'll try to catch up a little.

I finished my sister's batik quilt and gifted it in March of this year.  You can see photos of it here.

Sweet little Nolan was gifted with his Bear Paw baby quilt in August. You can read about that here.

Earlier this year I started a sew-along with two friends ...

Jeep Girl from Sew........This Is My Blog

It was my sister Carol's turn for a new quilt.  I asked her if there was a theme or type of quilt she wanted, and without missing a beat she said, "A Jeep quilt".  I wasn't surprised.  She is most definitely a Jeep girl!

I couldn't find any Jeep fabric locally so I had to shop online.  Darn!  I hate when that happens.  Just kidding.  I can almost always find exactly what I need on quiltshops.com.

We decided on the pattern Pastoral Countryside from All People Quilt, and I added one more fabric to the mix ...
